Development of Heart of Hope Asian American Hospice Care

Heart of Hope Asian American Hospice Care was granted a Public Charity status under section 501(c)(3) in August 2013. We received the hospice license from the California Department of Public Health on October 6, 2016, and had since provided holistic hospice care to terminally ill patients in the Silicon Valley area. In August 2017, the organization passed the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) accreditation survey without any deficiency, which is considered outstanding and very rare for a new hospice organization. In August 2020, Heart of Hope temporarily suspend hospice clinical care services due to the impact of the COVID 19 Pandemic ,and the hospice clinical care services were resumed in October 2022. Again, in March 2023, the organization passed the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) accreditation survey without any deficiency.

Since 2012, in the process of building up Heart of Hope Asian American Hospice Care, many challenges and obstacles have been overcome owing to the trust, encouragement and support from all over the community. This has assured us that we would never be alone when we strive to serve the community with love, professionalism and compassion! With the continuing support from the community, we believe love can flourish and hope can be sustained in the most challenging time for the end-of- life patients and their families.
