Marketing/Fundraising Coordinator, Bilingual - Part-Time

High-level Job Description

We are looking for a part-time, bilingual Marketing/Fundraising Coordinator to establish a genuine, in-depth relationship with our communities to promote Heart of Hope’s services; penetrate our image making Heart of Hope a ‘go-to’ service provider for hospice care serving primarily Asian Americans; and plan/execute effective financial strategies to support our growth by sourcing a dependable income & donation stream. These communities would include but not limited to churches, corporations; foundations; and individuals..

Pay Rate and Benefits

Pay rate at $35-$40 per hour (20-25 hours per week), depends on relevant qualification and experience. We offer part-time employee benefits including Paid Sick Leave; 401K retirement plan with optional company matching.

Job Functions/Responsibilities

This position will work in a matrix environment accountable to also support the CEO and Fundraising Committee to:

  1. Develop strategic directions and tactical plans to help Heart of Hope reaching our goal - One Million dollars by the end of year 2020
  2. Connect with the communities and media to promote Heart of Hope image and services
  3. Plan, develop, implement and follow through all marketing & fundraising events
  4. Monitor and follow up all action plans
  5. Serve as the Program/Project Manager in the planning & execution of specialized events and activities such as fundraising and other related projects



  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  2. 3-5 years’ experience in event/project coordination and management
  3. Fundraising and marketing skills and experience an advantage
  4. Knowledge of corporate business management, financial standards, governmental regulations and Hospice Care concept a plus

  1. Self-motivated, demonstrates an ability to motivate people and work independently
  2. People friendly
  3. Excellent customer service skills & communication (verbal and written) skills
  4. Ability to communicate with all levels of Managers, Directors, Staff and Volunteers effectively
  5. Manage events/projects in an efficient and timely manner
  6. Must be able to maintain confidential information and able to work in a fast-paced environment; meet deadlines and set priorities
  7. Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  8. Bilingual in English and Mandarin

Other Skills:

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  2. Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
