Heart of Hope Asian American Hospice Care Board of Directors: Chairman Mr. Wallace Chu, Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). As a financial advisor, Mr. Chu observed many end-of-life patients are under a lot of stress and would benefit from hospice service. His business is located in the South Bay area and he has many connections to the Chinese and Asian communities. Secretary Ms. Margaret Ching. Ms. Ching has been involved in cancer caregiving for Chinese Americans in the last several years. She has been actively involved in Grace Church Fremont serving in children’s Sunday school program and the church’s Bethel Christian Academy tutoring program. She is also involved in the League of Volunteers serving the Tri-City Area. Treasurer Mr. Sam Han, Financial Advisor, Owner of PPL Investment. Mr. Han is familiar with the long-term care and hospice because of his profession as a financial advisor. He felt hospice is under-utilized among Chinese. He is a member of Qi Lu Community Group, and is actively involved in a community chorus group. Board Members: Dr. Albert Lin, M.D., Oncologist, VA Palo Alto Health Care System Ms. Blanche Chen, MSW, LCSW, Co-Founder and CEO/Administrator of Heart of Hope Asian American Hospice Care. She has been a hospice social worker for over 11 years and is familiar with the operation of a hospice organization. Ms. Diana Ding, Founder, Ding Ding TV Mr. Emery Kong, Co-Founder and Chief Office Officer of Heart of Hope Asian American Hospice Care. Mr. Kong has been serving Chinese American cancer patients and family members since 1999. Elder Kenneth Ng, Ph.D, Leader Pastor of the Home of Christ Church in Menlo Park. Dr. Ming Shing Chiu, M.D., GI Specialist, Kaiser Permanente Redwood City Medical Center Dr. Paul Cheng, M.D., Ph.D, MA (bioethics) Specialized in Allergy & Immunology with his medical practice located in the Fremont area, an area with high Chinese and Asian population. As Executive Director of Luke Christian Medical Mission, Dr. Cheng has been actively promoting ethical issues for End-of-Life care in CA. Advisors: Rev.
